Burns night is coming up! If you're looking to add some elegance to your haggis, neeps and tatties then Tullibardine Whisky has you covered with some cocktails.
I've managed to steal a couple of their recipes to pass onto you. I think Burns would approve, considering his written praise for a good whisky...
‘O thou, my Muse! guid auld Scotch drink!
Whether thro’ wimplin’ [twisting] worms thou jink
Or, richly brown, ream [foam] owre the brink
In glorious faem
Inspire me, till I lisp an’ wink
To sing thy name!’
Easy to make, even easier to drink...
Tulli Toddy: A warm and simple serve with a traditional edge.
25ml Cloudy Apple
70ml Hot Water
Gold Leith: A zingy take of the classic Gold Rush cocktail. The cold serve is simple and tasty.
50ml Tullibardine Sovereign
20ml Great British Vermouth
15ml 2:1 Lyles Golden Syrup*
*Lyles syrup - 2 part syrup to one part water.
15ml Lemon Juice
5 dashes Orange Bitters
Bottoms up! And don't blame me the next morning...
